The analysis results show that Nandonggou will not only have a significant impact on the recent production capacity, mining and stripping relationship and operational safety of the Buzhaoba open pit mine. It will also affect the five-stage expansion project of Xiaolongtan Mining Bureau and the utilization and sustainable development of mining resources.Based on the comprehensive consideration of the climate, hydrology, geology and topography of the mining area, three schemes for the alteration of nandonggou are put forward.Firstly, a tunnel scheme is arranged in the east-north direction of Buzhaoba Open-pit Mine, which full length 4854m, tunnel 4664m.Secondly, the tunnel scheme for crossing the Yunnan-Vietnam metre-gauge Railway, which full length 5637m, the tunnel 5423m, and crossing the Yunnan-Vietnam metre-gauge Railway under the open ditch section 50m-60m after the tunnel exit;Thirdly, the open channel scheme starts at 81.63m in the southwest of the stope and 81.63m in the northeast of the tunnel,and its exit is the current Nandonggou at 145m outside the east side. The total length of the open ditch is 4120m.This paper designs the starting point and exit position, route direction, system composition, hydraulic gradient and other contents of the 3 schemes, and calculates the construction amount, flood passage capacity and system construction investment of the 3 schemes. Considering the technical difficulty of project construction, system construction investment, and operational reliability, the three Nandonggou Diversion plans were comprehensively compared. It is recommended to adopt Scheme 1, namely the North East Tunnel Project. According to the recommended Nandonggou Diversion plan, the geological feasibility of Nandonggou, the interaction with ground facilities, construction organization and environmental protection were analyzed. The research results of the project are of great significance for the safe and sustainable development of the Buzhaoba open-pit mine, and also have important reference significance for III similar open-pit mines in China.
