The museum has two main purposes one is the presentation of the porcelain art of Jingdezhen, the other purpose is to underline the conditions of the existing landscape. The wall follows the landscape, cuts it, unfolds on top of it, opens up to the view and creates new spaces for contemplation and quiet leisure and meditation. The wall is supposed to frame the existing conditions to open up the visitors gaze for new insights. The structure of the porcelain museum will slowly move the visitors uphill towards west and will provide conditions such as large staircases, bridges, chambers, amphitheatres, view points and ramps to accentuate the hilly site. Visiting the museum will provide you with both - ination about porcelain and at the same time quiet contemplation and relaxation and the experience of the existing and the man-made landscape of the museum itself. The Ewall is structured according to the dynasties. The length of each piece stands for the duration of the specific time period of the dynasty. Materials will be stone, concrete, cor-Ten steel and glazed porcelain. The colors used will be consistent with the colors used in each period. □
